Acquiring Vehicles in Night City

Vehicles serve as the primary mode of transportation across Night City and its surrounding areas in Cyberpunk 2077. While public transport options exist, players can acquire their own cars and motorbikes. Unlike simply stealing any vehicle off the street, permanent ownership requires specific methods.

You cannot keep every car you steal; stolen vehicles can be driven temporarily but cannot be stored in your garage. To acquire vehicles permanently, you generally have three main avenues:

  • Purchases: Fixers will offer vehicles for sale as your reputation with them grows. The Autofixer netpage, accessible via an Autofixer Terminal or your apartment computer, also lists vehicles for purchase.
  • Quest Rewards: Completing certain missions can reward you with a vehicle, which is then added to your garage. An example is Jackie’s Arch motorcycle, acquired after finishing the “Heroes” mission. The Nomad Life Path character, V, starts the game with a Galena GA40XT Rattler.
